Who we support – Special Children’s Christmas Party

Here at Dayle ITM, we are proud to sponsor the Special Children’s Christmas Party. Held across the country, in association with the Cancer Society, it enlists the sponsorship of local business to provide an unforgettable experience for disabled and disadvantaged children in our community. These events have been held for the last thirteen years in New Zealand and are always growing in popularity.

Starting at 10:45am, every year the parties run for three and a half hours and include a star studded stage show featuring many local, national and international artists. Kids also take part in various activities including bouncy castles, face painting, merry-go-rounds, petting zoos, pony rides, clowns, dancers, fairies, magicians, hoop shooting contests, bowling alleys, Police and Army displays – the list goes on. With all this fun to be had there are drinks, lollies, chippies, sausages, iceblocks, ice creams, burgers, sandwiches, fruit juice, apples etc. provided to keep the energy levels high.

When Santa makes his entrance (usually a very spectacular entrance!), his huge range of gifts are laid out. Every child, according to 5 different age groups, receives 3 or 4 high quality gifts to call their own and personally meets Santa.

This event had been so successful in lifting the morale of these children and their families and it is set to continue growing, with constant support from local groups and businesses and it brings a smile to all of our faces to know we can help in giving these special kids the very special gift of Christmas.
